Maine’s Joint Force Headquarters is a new two-story, 101,700 s.f. building. The facility provides command and control for the Maine Army National Guard, Maine Air National Guard and joint operations for the State of Maine during times of emergency preparedness.
Base Design Group worked with the build teams in the Delegated Design and Construction Phases of the project to provide specialty structural engineering services for the cold-formed steel framing. UFC and DoD AT/FP design guidelines were addressed with a dynamic analysis approach to best optimize the framing while meeting these extreme and critical performance requirements.
